I’m Anna McAfee — a community builder, LinkedIn™ educator, and creator of the #LinkedInLocal movement. My work lives at the intersection of connection, community strategy, and sustainability. I believe meaningful relationships are essential to individual well-being and collective progress.

My Story

In 2017, I posted on LinkedIn™ asking if anyone local wanted to meet offline. That small, human question sparked the global #LinkedInLocal movement — spanning 1,000+ cities across 96 countries. It revealed something profound: people are hungry for genuine connection.

But my journey began long before that moment. I’ve been helping people use LinkedIn™ since 2010 — first with recruiters, then businesses, and now purpose-driven individuals and brands who want to build meaningful digital communities.

What Makes My Work Different

I don’t believe in networking scripts, follower counts, or engagement hacks. I believe in unlearning old systems — many rooted in early 20th-century business culture — and reimagining how we engage online. My work is influenced by psychology, indigenous wisdom, permaculture principles, and a deep commitment to sustainability — not just for the planet, but for people and systems too.
